In March of 2020 our dream of being in Detroit came true. We opened a location in the Durfee Innovation Society, which is a hub for nonprofit organizations that strive to provide wrap-around services for the Detroit Community. We are humbled to be able to add Cancer Support to their services.
Hours our physical doors are open:
Monday & Tuesday: 10am-5pm
Thursday: 10am – 7pm
For more than 20 years, our signature Clubhouse in Royal Oak has been home to support, education and wellness programming. Children, men and women find an embrace to carry them from diagnosis through recovery. With more than 140 monthly programs, Gilda’s Club holds steadfast that no one faces cancer alone. We also know that convenience is key when facing the complexities of a diagnosis.
Hours our physical doors are open:
Monday: 10am – 5pm
Tuesday – Thursday: 10am – 8pm
Rooted in the Gilda’s Club mission, The Lake House location came under our Gilda’s umbrella in April, 2019. Workshops, support groups and healthy lifestyle will remain a constant for our eastside families.
Hours our physical doors are open:
Tuesday: 10:00am – 8:00pm
Wednesday: 10:00 – 5:00 pm
When the pandemic hit in March of 2020, our physical doors closed for the first time in more than 20 years. However, when one door closes, another one opens they say. Overnight, we opened doors to Gilda’s Virtual Community. We started with our support groups and were quick to add all of the healthy lifestyle workshops, education presentations and social programs we know our members love. We are proud to offer more than 40 programs a week in our virtual community, ensuring everyone has access to our entire Gilda’s Club program, from the comfort of their own homes.
Our virtual community has shown us that community is stronger than cancer. Even in a time where we cannot physically be together, the connection of community is so important as people feel the impact of cancer.
