Season of Hope.

Dear friends,

Every year at Gilda’s, we chart a path. At year’s end, we chuckle. The path, well, unexpectedly veered a bit. Truly, how many of us approach December and say, wow, that went exactly as planned?

Cancer is the ultimate test when it comes to unpredictability and the need to alter our life map. Scarlett, a bright 17-year-old, and her family know this all too well. Diagnosed with Leukemia last November, Scarlett, along with her parents Estela and Antonio, and her younger sister Leah, have navigated the unexpected twists and turns of cancer, finding support and community at Gilda’s Club.

Joining our teen support group to celebrating Scarlett’s birthday surrounded by friends at Gilda’s, the family has found strength in our programs and in each other.

And that’s where Gilda’s comes in. Where you come in. Together, we clear the path when decisions, complexities, and emotions become all-consuming. Together, we pave the way with confidence and clarity to face a cancer diagnosis with the best possible tools. The one thing I know I can count on is you. I am forever humbled and grateful for your generosity, care, and trust in our path. With optimism,

Laura
