2024 continued to bring immeasurable impact to our community.
CLINICAL PROGRAMS
We provided support groups for over 15 different types of cancer, serving those currently undergoing treatment and those who have completed it. We also offered support to caregivers of cancer patients and those who have lost loved ones to the disease. This year, we prioritized increasing access to mental health services by offering groups in-person, virtually, and in a hybrid format. All of our support groups are facilitated by master’s-level mental health clinicians, and attendance increased by 130% this year alone.
A COMMUNITY OF INCLUSION
We’re committed to providing diverse, inclusive support for those affected by cancer. This year, we expanded our programming to include tailored support for specific groups, such as LGBTQ+ individuals, parents undergoing treatment, and those living with metastatic or advanced cancer.
PRE-VIVOR RESOURCES
We launched our first pre-vivor programs to promote early cancer detection in Metro Detroit and surrounding areas. By partnering with local organizations, we offered free or low-cost cancer screenings, including mobile mammography in Wayne and Oakland Counties. These programs emphasized the importance of regular cancer screenings.
