Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit is a hub for cancer-related information and referrals in the metro Detroit area. We are deeply connected to organizations in our community, which offer a robust array of cancer resources and assistance. As an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community, our parent organization, we have access to national resources, too. Whether we can assist you directly or connect you to another organization focusing on the area of support you need, we are here to help.
Gilda’s Club also maintains a library in the main Clubhouse providing a wealth of information about cancer and techniques for living with cancer. In addition, our affiliate Cancer Support Community’s series “Frankly Speaking about Cancer” provides information about a variety of issues related to cancer. Access the series at cancersupportcommunity.org.
Twice monthly, we offer the opportunity to meet directly with our Program team for assistance in securing the resources you need. We invite you to attend one of our Drop In: Resource groups, meeting on the 3rd Monday of the month from 2:00-3:30 pm in Royal Oak, and every 3rd Thursday of the month from 5:30-7:00 pm in Detroit.
No one should have to face cancer alone. The Cancer Support Community is here to help you by offering free support and counseling for cancer patients or their loved ones by phone and online.
