GC+LH at Home: In-Home Support
Caregivers often face what feels like an endless to-do list. From daily tasks to unexpected challenges, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Even the smallest help – running an errand, assisting with a home project, offering emotional support – can make a world of difference.
Our in-home support services offer respite for caregivers of loved ones (aged 55+) impacted by cancer. Over a service period of 5-8 weeks, trained college student volunteers provide weekly visits tailored to your needs, including help with meal prep, grocery shopping, housework, tech navigation, pet care, prescription pick-up, walks, hobbies, and more. Launching September 2025.
Eligibility criteria:
– Must be a resident of Wayne County
– Must be caregiving for an individual impacted by cancer over the age of 55+
– Must live in the same residence as the patient
