Dear Gilda’s Club community,
Gilda’s Club is sensitive to the current outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). It is our priority to keep all our members, volunteers and staff safe.
Our priority also is to continue to serve.
Beginning Monday, March 16 all our Support Groups and a number of our Workshops are being conducted virtually, through video and audio platforms. There will be no groups or gatherings at any of our facilities – including Gilda’s programs within our hospital partnerships.
This is not a decision we made lightly. We are mindful that many of our members are the most vulnerable. We also are mindful that during this unprecedented time, the mental health of our community continues to be our priority. We want to create the safest, most accessible environment for them during this period of precaution.
We are especially proud to have opened our remote support groups to organizations and health providers who are unable to continue groups for their patients as they take precautions and set priorities withing their organizations.
These are uncharted times for all of us and we are continuing to monitor closely. Our remote and virtual service model will be in place through Thursday, April 30. We will reevaluate at that time to see when our facilities will reopen to groups.
